Hi, I’m Pauline, owner of PoSitive Body Health.

Always fascinated by the human body and exercise, it was a natural step for me to complete a college sports degree. A fulfilling 10 year career in Health and Fitness Club Management was to follow, but with a growing desire to move towards massage and other complementary therapies. As I like to say, ’ having spent 10 years making people’s muscles ache, it was time to help their recovery and make them feel better’.

Since embarking on a full time massage career in 1997, I have gone on to train in Seated Acupressure (On Site) Massage, Sports Massage, Indian Head Massage, Hopi Ear Candles, Aromatherapy, PureStretch, Bowen Therapy, Hot Stone Massage, Hydrotherm Massage and other therapies. Note that this took place over a number of years and not all at once!

I have learned a lot through practicing each of these therapies but it soon became clear to me that my drive and enthusiasm fell mainly with sports massage, Seated Acupressure (On Site) Massage and Seated Therapeutic Massage.

In 2000 I was invited to become a tutor with Academy of On Site Massage. In 2006 I took up the opportunity to become owner of the Academy, leading to a busy, fulfilling challenge of teaching throughout the UK  and offering massage at work within the corporate sector.

During this time, PoSitive Body Health has been successfully running in the background. But change is in the air. At the beginning of 2020 I decided I would alter my business focus. Preparations were underway when the bombshell of Covid-19 struck.

Although Covid-19 has been devastating across the world, for me the first UK lockdown gave me vital time to fully review and assess my future. I now have a clear plan of where I want to be and how to begin this journey.

There will be many learning curves along the way but I am enthusiastic and excited about what the future holds. I hope you can be a part of my journey.

In the meantime, stay safe and well 😊

Kind regards,

Pauline Baxter
